Daniel Filemoni, is a devoted family man, happily married to his wife of 16 years and a proud father of two beautiful children—Linetta, who is neurotypical, and Tavita, who is neurodiverse and autistic. Guided by his deep faith, Daniel embodies the values of alofa (love), tautua (service), and loto malosi (resilience) in all aspects of his life. 

With over 16 years as a public servant in mainstream organizations, Daniel has remained steadfast in his mission to uplift and empower his beloved community in Porirua. His dedication flows like the ocean, touching many areas—whether it’s supporting initiatives in fitness and disability advocacy or celebrating the vibrancy of Pacific languages and cultures during their special weeks. 

A proud son of the Pacific, Daniel has a heart for youth and rangatahi, walking alongside them as a mentor and guide. His passion for nurturing the next generation reflects the collective values of the village, ensuring every young person feels seen, valued, and included. 

Daniel’s journey is one of service and purpose, honoring the mana of his people and strengthening the bonds that connect families, communities, and cultures. He is a beacon of hope and leadership, championing initiatives that uphold wellbeing and celebrate the beautiful richness of Pacific heritage.”
