John Chapman, Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Te Whakatōhea, Te Whānau Apanui, is the owner and director of KAEA, an organization that delivers programs for Kāinga Ora, Māori Pacific Trades Training, and other community and whanau development entities. He has held senior positions in education and youth development, including roles at VisionWest Community Trust Education and Training Centre and Wellington City Mission.

John previously served as a member of the interim establishment board for Waihanga Ara Rau, the Construction and Infrastructure WDC. Additionally, he holds governance positions with Māori Pacific Trades Training Auckland and HHR Trust Aotearoa New Zealand.
