Maikali has over two decades of experience in the mental health and addiction sector, with a strong background in health service auditing, community engagement and wellbeing support. He is registered DAPAANZ addiction practitioner and clinical supervisor.

He currently serves as the Industry Engagement Lead – Pacific for Toitu Te Waiora fostering sector wide partnerships in health and social service providers to enhance opportunities for individual training and workforce development.
