Nathan Lopa Nathan Lopa Born and raised Porirua. Is of Samoan & Tokelau descent, hails from the villages Sapapali’i, Savai’i & Moata’a, Upolu in Samoa & Atafu & Fakaofo in Tokelau. Currently working at Stats NZ as a Community engagement advisor, Nathan has MC’d many events in the Wellington community over the years. This started during his time as a student at St Patrick’s College Wellington MC’ing many of the school events. He would eventually become deputy head prefect which would propel him to many more opportunities. It was here he found a passion as a Masters of Ceremonies which would then lead him to MC events as a student at Victoria University, as well as many Porirua and Wellington community events. Debuting at the 2017 Creektest and returning to Creekfest 2022, as we as different events including Pasifika United Porirua Poly Fest, Huttfest and more recently all the Wellington Vax Festivals. The schools strike for climate in front Parliament is one of Nathan’s most memorable events. Drawing in Over 40,000 people to push for Climate justice for our families in the Pacific. “I love my job, as it brings me close to my people where I find what my purpose is.”
