Hanga-Aro-Rau, Co-Chair

Renata Hakiwai, Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongomaiwahine, Tūwharetoa, Waikato Tainui, is the Managing Director of HTK Group Ltd, an organization established in 2015 to provide Māori and indigenous professional services. With over 10 years of experience in senior executive and leadership roles, Renata is also a successful investor and dual exit entrepreneur. He previously served as co-Chair of the interim Establishment Board for Hanga-Aro-Rau, the WDC for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Logistics, and currently continues as co-Chair on the Council.

Renata holds positions on various boards, spanning crown, commercial, iwi, post-settlement entities, non-profit, and startup organizations. With a strong focus on Māori business, innovation, workforce development, employment, STEM, and the Future of Work, Renata fosters deep connections with the communities he serves, viewing himself as a facilitator of growth and a catalyst for Māori and indigenous development.
