Turi Ngatai MNZM Kāhui Ahumahi Chair, Muka Tangata Turi Ngatai MNZM, Ngāi te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui, is a Board member of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and a former school principal. He has served as a member of the interim Establishment Board for Muka Tangata, the Primary Industries WDC (Workforce Development Council), and as a Co-chair of the Bay of Plenty Regional Skills Leadership Group. Turi is also a Director on the Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence and sits on the Board of the Catholic Leadership Institute, Te Kupenga. He holds directorship positions at Te Awanui Huka Pak and serves as Deputy Chair of the Ngāi Te Rangi iwi post-settlement governance entity and the Ngāi Te Rangi Rūnanga. Additionally, Turi represents Ngāi Te Rangi at the Iwi Chairs Forum, acting as their spokesperson for the WDCs and representing the Iwi Chairs Forum on the Worksafe Partners Advisory Council.
